Welcoming in 2010....with a super late post
Dear and I, along with my family, went for a short and quick trip to cameron highlands right on the 1st of Jan 2010. It was quite a remarkable trip =)
At first, i was half-convinced that dad couldn't make it, and i felt so much anguish, i was almost blinded by it. But dad did his best, and we managed to make it in to msia, although much later then planned and dad went with no sleep.
thus we had to make stopovers for dad to catch some shuteye, while i was really antsy to get to our destination.
i've been eager to go back there again, and going on this trip really meant alot to me.
my only recollections of it was as a child, and memories were limited.
now i have a new one, of sweetheart, and my family spending some time there together, and exploring the place.
It has since changed alot, and i believe we all agree that the place isn't as beautiful as before. It is certainly a waste for commercial needs to have changed the natural environment to such an extent; it is depressing even.
the place seems more abused then have commercial taken over.
but still, it is the significance in which that place holds for all of us. even dear only had memories of it as a kid. So it seems like we're revisiting our past, which has been given new meaning by our new understanding =)
i would love to go again, but the drive is really so tedious, even i find it tiring just co-piloting..i really don't know how the boys do it..>.<
we visited strawberry farms, bee farm, butterfly farm, and cactus valley.. much has changed, and admission tickets are now needed to enter all the farms except for strawberry..there were tea plantations too, but alas, we did not have the time.. it would have been such pleasure to simply sit and sip a cup of hot tea while admiring the tea valley and beyond..
we took tons of pictures at the cactus valley as there were so many beautiful and interesting plants! i think we spent almost half a day there, which was actually too long..haha.. oh but the dessert there was quite yummy.. imagine strawberry everything!!
strawberry milkshake, strawberry muffins, strawberry coffee, strawberry waffles, strawberry fried ice-cream, strawberry yoghurt..etc etc etc
and then we had our dinner for both night at the town below our hotel.. i can't remember the name, but i do know there are 3 major towns in cameron? i think so..haha
the first night we had this wonderful steamboat that used charcoal!! the soup was plain, but after all the ingredients were added in, the soup became extremely tasty! nothing's better than having a cosy hot steamboat after a long cold day.. mmmmmm.......... i miss it already!!
the 3rd day, we made our way back and stopped at KL..hehe..me n sweetheart's rabid fascination with HongKong series, so die die must stop by and buy.. the trip wouldn't have seemed complete if i didn't manage to get my tv shows! hahaha.. but i could see that my family were looking around, looking lost yet eager.. maybe next time we should bring them to KL for shopping? muahahaha..
we all rushed back for our relative's wedding and made it RIGHT ON TIME.. exactly when the prelude video started playing.. lol
i felt pretty happy to see my once-very-close relative marrying someone who cherishes her so much.. i can tell they're very much in love and treasure each other.. this is the kind of coupling where although too young, you somehow just know it's right..
nevertheless, i got goosebumps.. and i envied her.. she was such a tired yet beautiful bride.....
anyway..still harping on the trip..
To my darling: thank you for being so 'on', and willing to bring me so far out in such little time..i wish the stay could have been at a more relaxed-pace..but you've not complained even though i know you're not such a draggy person.. so all the more i appreciate your patience, understanding and flexibility..
i love you so much for doing this for me..*muacks*

school reopened soon after our trip and i've been busying with that.. trying to wrap my lazy brain around school work again.. but lectures are simply too boring la!
i have to keep trying my very best to pay attention in class and catch any thing to jot down.. how irritating..and must ownself print notes! frustrating..
oh n that reminds me.. my 2nd week of school has been quite misfortunate for me.. I was so muddle-headed, i kept losing my stuffs.. hiax..
don't know where my nets flashpay dropped to, and bcox i was scrambling around in my bag looking for it, i left my shawl on the bus..
and then on saturday, it wasn't a school day, but i had to go back to school to borrow a textbook for photocopying.. but bcox of the library system, the book can only be borrowed after a certain time for me to enjoy the privilege of borrowing it longer.. and blur me, didn't know that the certain time was 1.30pm, and i was already there at 11am!!!
i wasted my time and transport $ going there before the time, and had to make another trip back in the afternoon.. SO MADDENING.. don't know what i've been doing the whole week..
hope this week will be better..
got errands to run tml, and then meeting the girls for dinner.. looking forward to that too =)
cny coming huh.. valentines day also coming... hmm...
i wish i could have a great valentine memory with you to remember.. we've been through so much.. but not yet a sweet romantic memoriable valentine..
*sigh* oh well.. i can go dream about it now.. ~
